Vilas Historical Museum

The Northwoods the way it was

Travel back to the early days of the Northwoods of Wisconsin at the Vilas Historical Museum in Sayner. The museum houses more than 7,500 square feet of displays and artifacts from Sayner-Star lake’s past. You’ll find the first snowmobile, the pioneer room, a guides’ room, doll collections, native wildlife mounts, lures, boats, outboard motors and a collection of African safari mounts. The museum is open from Memorial Day to September 30.
