Plum Lake Equestrian Event Center will host a 2-day Canine Training Workshop on June 26th & 27th from 8am-2pm, led by Carol Lofquist (TLC Training by Carol out of Rhinelander). Carol begins with general obedience but quickly works into basic agility training to keep the dog’s and handler’s minds occupied with the task at hand. Utilizing balls & goals, flyball, teeter totters, weaves, platform walks, A-Frames, and an assortment of jumps, she creates confidence in the dog and handler and increases agility and ability.
Carol also works with the dogs and handlers in a safe and enclosed area in the woods teaching basic come and leave it skills for walking in the wood or on trails. For those interested, these are introductory skills needed to pursue Search & Rescue Training.
