Rainy Day Fun in Sayner-Star Lake
Rain, rain go away - or not?
Just because the sun isn’t shining, doesn’t mean the day is a total bust! In the Sayner-Star Lake area, rainy days are also welcomed days. Here are a few ways to switch things up and take advantage of indoor entertainment when the drops are falling (or any day for that matter):
Shop Downtown
It might be dreary outside, but there’s nothing dreary about shopping in Sayner-Star Lake. Rainy days tend to draw crowds, and it’s fun because the pace slows down - everyone knows that there’s nowhere to go in a hurry!
Take your time and browse the tasteful displays of home décor and gifts, while at Traditions. Or, find Sayner-Star Lake apparel and locally-crafted arts to bring home from Cre-ate. It doesn’t stop there! One can get lost in the large variety of quilting fabrics and kits offered at Plum Lake Quilts!
Visit a Museum
Sayner-Star Lake has a rich heritage that’s alive in our local attractions. Make your way through 7,500 square feet of displays and artifacts of our area’s history at the Vilas Historical Museum, see and learn all about the very first snowmobile invented right in Sayner at Eliason Lumber, check out fine art and history exhibits at the Old Schoolhouse Gallery, explore the Old Milltown Depot - a museum dedicated to Star Lake’s historical logging and railroad days, and much more!
Find Action Indoors
Still looking for ways to dodge the raindrops and seek a little fun? Challenge your pals to a few rounds of laser tag at Eagle Falls Adventure Golf & Laser Tag’s 2-story indoor arena. Or, for something a bit more laid back, play a round of darts or pool at one of our local establishments - and top your day off with a burger and a brew!
