Must-Do Northwoods Summertime Festival
Every year on the first Sunday of August, vendors, and visitors fill the street as Sayner-Star Lake welcomes people from near and far for a great time at the Sayner Street Fair. This year, the 7th Annual Sayner Street Fair is expected to draw thousands of attendees. Here’s what’s in store for the day:
Live Music
Kicking off the day’s entertainment will be Rebel Jane, a 4-piece band, guaranteed to wow the crowd with their unstoppable energy and talent from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm. Refuse to Rust will claim the stage at 2:00 pm and bring down the house with today's hottest country and country-rock hits. They’ll get you up and out of your seat like no other!
Arts & Crafts Show
From 10am-4pm artists, crafters, and vendors from all around Wisconsin and the upper Midwest will line up along Sayner’s Main Street (Highway 155 from Carl Eliason Street to the corner of County Hwy N) and offer their wares for sale. They’ll feature everything from handmade jewelry to framed art, décor, food and drink mixes, and everything in between.
Food
The aroma of delicious food will fill the air from homemade gyros to pizza, brats, burgers, gourmet coffee, you name it! For something extra special, the Sayner Pub will offer a special Street Fair cocktail for sale near the live entertainment. There’s no shortage of food and beverages at the Sayner Street Fair!
Touch-A-Truck
Both children and adults love the hands-on interaction of the Touch-A-Truck, organized by the Plum Lake EMS! It’s an opportunity to check out large, over-the-road vehicles and ask questions of the professionals. Look for the big trucks to be located this year at the Plum Lake Community Park.
Kid's Activities
The Street Fair has something for everyone! Children will find entertainment with many activities throughout town such as bounce houses, and games all day.
Adding to the excitement of the day will be special promotions offered within Sayner’s downtown shops in addition to a quilt show.
